What is Paper Bayonet?
Paper Bayonet is a print-and-play war game set on a grid-based board, where players command and engage in historic or ahistorical battles of the Napoleonic Wars. This project aims to provide both men and women with an approachable, affordable, and enjoyable way to play epic-scale Napoleonic wargames with friends.

The Battle of Friedland was a major engagement between the French and the Russian Empire on the frontiers of East Prussia.
Having failed to decisively defeat the Russian main army at Eylau. Napoleon managed to catch Bennigsen's army as it attempted to smash Marshal Lannes' corps at Friedland.
The battle saw the Russians fighting the French with their backs to the Alle River and split in two by the millstream. The resulting devastation saw the Russians defeated by their poor positioning and heavy French attacks, resulting in a 40% casualty rate.
The battle was so decisive, it convinced Tsar Alexander to make peace, consolidating Napoleon as master of Europe.
