Austria was France's most frequent enemy, dating back to the French Revolution. 

Having fought in Italy, and Lower Germany, their empire was ultimately humbled by Napoleon's Battle of Austerlitz in 1805. But throughout the Napoleonic Wars, Austria would reignite war with the French Empire when the time was right. 

Under General Schwatzenburg, the Austrians would go on to invade France itself in 1814.
